Clear guidance from the outset.

Every project is unique, but transparency is important. The fees below provide an indication of the most common services undertaken by our practice. Should your project require a different scope of work, we will gladly prepare a tailored fee proposal.

From Approval to Completion

Council approval is an important milestone, but it is not the end of the architectural process. Once approval has been obtained, clients may appoint us to develop the design into the detailed information required for pricing and construction.

This may include coordinated construction drawings, specifications and schedules; assistance with obtaining and assessing contractor prices; preparation of the building contract; and coordination with engineers, specialists and suppliers.

During construction, we can administer the building contract, review work on site at agreed intervals, assess its alignment with the drawings and design intent, and guide the project through completion, occupation and handover.

Clients may appoint us for a full architectural service from initial design through to completion, or for a tailored scope suited to the project. The extent of our involvement and responsibilities is clearly defined in each fee proposal.

Direct Architectural Involvement

Every project benefits from the direct involvement of a Registered Professional Architect throughout the agreed scope of work.

Where we are appointed for a full architectural service, design decisions remain under the guidance of Gideon Malherbe or Ceoné Joubert from the earliest conversations through documentation, construction and completion. This provides continuity, accountability and a consistent architectural vision throughout the life of the project.

We believe this level of engagement results in better-resolved buildings, clearer communication and a more considered experience for our clients.
